Stitching updates :)

I have picked up some old projects and added some new ones. The only HAED I work on these days is Ruth Sanderson's Fall Fairy. I love it and want it actually finish it so I put the other ones aside. I also realized that I missed the other kind of stitching I do, so I got back into it over Christmas.

Here is my Fall Fairy. This one is amazing! Its fun to work on, not to much confettie but it is coming out so well, I can hardly wait to get to the big fairy.

This is a design called The Gift from Just Cross Stitch, of a chickadee and a raccoon. I love chickadees and want that new Dimensions kit called Chickadees and Lilacs. :)

This is the cutest little bear ever! Tatty Teddy from a UK magazine. I started him last Christmas and pulled him back out. He is really wintertime, so will be framed and put on the matel for all year long enjoyment.

This is my little finish, and would you believe I found that frame at the dollar tree? I was looking all over for a tiny square frame and couldn't find one and had to go to the dollar tree to help pick out gifts for the Sunday school class I assist with and there it was!

Seaside Cottages by Dimensions on 28ct evenweave:

I also am slipping in a couple other magazine designs, both from UK magazines but haven't made enough progress on either to take pics yet. I went to see New Moon with my sister for my birthday and while we were over that way, I went to Barnes and Noble and got 2 of them, I do that whenever I can. I like them so much better than the US magazines. I wonder why we can't have at least one magazine that is similar to them over here? hmmmmm

Dweezle the Garland Elf

After 3 years of off and on stitching, he is done!!! His face is over one, and there are lots of fractionals, mostly in the garland. He has quite a few beads too, which really added so much to him. I am very happy with him, and to be done with him. :) Just in time for the holidays! He is on 28ct waterlily jobelan and the design is by Lavender Wings.

Now, I am going to tackle Mirabella. I am about a week from being done with her and plan to hang in there until she is complete. Beading little Dweezle got me back into the groove of beading and I feel very ready for her now. I hadn't done any beading in a couple of years.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!! God Bless. :)

HAED, Fall Fairy Ruth Sanderson

This piece is gorgeous! I wish you all could see it IRL. But I am loving it and want to finish the first page before I put her down. I am missing my Ravenscroft piece, and I am painfully close to being done with Blue Beard's Princess. My mom said she would get her framed for my b-day, whoo hoo! I haven't finished a Mira for myself in years.

I am going to be participating in a story keep SAL with Heaven and Earth Designs, which is on the BB. I chose Elfland, its nice and bound to be gorgeous. I am looking forward to it, I haven't done this type of thing before.

New head, made on Veteran's Day. Took me all day!

This newborn look is coming easier and easier. :)

Stitching updates

I got a bit more done on Bella's Sea Monkey, Hannah Disney HAED:

Linda Ravenscroft Watching From the Woods, HAED..not much more done, but the bottom half of the page is filled in:

This is Meredith Dillman Precious Butterfly QS from HAED. I love her! But I feel like I am going so slow! This is about 4 days of work.

Bluebeard's Princess is almost done! I will most likely leave off the decorative thing up top so it will be just the border and seahorses. No beads yet, but I have a frame all ready to bead her as soon as I am done with all the stitching and BS.

Right now I am working on Fall Fairy by Ruth Sanderson. Its coming along great, lots of gorgeous colors in it. No pic yet..soon. :)

Baby Jenna!!

She is very sweet! She should be about 8-9" when done. I plan to work on her body tomorrow, and decide how I want to do it. She has a flange in her neck (as opposed to the loop in the head i usually do) so I will most likely do her limbs this way as well. So wish me luck! Sewing is soooo not my thing!

I am working on Mirabilia's Blue Beard's Princess and having a time of it, so many mistakes! I am close to finishing her, but already ready to pack her up after all the trouble. I will try and hang in there though. :)

Valarie

Valarie is so sweet, and coming along nicely. I worked on her cheek area, to blend it a bit more. Its a bright color and just sort of suddenly became that color so I added a lighter color to sort of smooth into it. And don't forget I changed the outline color from DMC 898 to anchor 381, a nice chocolately brown.

Right now I am working on Josephine Wall's I Think I Saw A Fairy. This is coming out really nice, but slow. Soon I will share a pic of her. I started in the center, and that is the fairy's arm. I was planning on adding in another Linda Ravenscroft project but decided not to. Hannah Disney (Lynn) has a new mermaid piece named Maxine I am really really hoping gets charted, she is gorgeous! I would rather have her, I decided. :D She probably will get charted, fingers crossed and I have put in a request at the HAED bb.

I did sculpt a new head but no pics just now. I am not sure I will be able to work on her today either, but hopefully soon she will be on ebay. I want to get some money together to take my kids to see Where The Wild Thins Are. We haven't done in a movie in to long. :)

Stitching overhaul

Well, I have been thinking and because I recently "slipped" in a Linda Ravenscroft design and am currently working on "sneaking" in a Josephine Wall design...:)))) That I am going to tuck away a couple projects for now and focus on 4 biggies. Those will be, Bella's Sea Monkey by Hannah Disney (now Hannah Lynn), Happy Ever After by Yvonne Gilbert, Watching from the Woods by Linda Ravenscroft and I Think I Saw A Fairy by Josephine Wall. Plus I still have 3 Mira's in the works. But its the HAED's I am going to cut back on. I think that these 4 represent all my HAED loves and are a nice and interesting mix of artwork. And maybe this way I can make good progress on them all. Right now I am going strong with Watching From the Woods:

This project is FUN! I love that little impish face. :)

edit: I have to keep Valarie..I just can't put her away right now so there will be the big 5, except Valarie isn't *that* big. :-)
